National Youth Conference 2019

Swim Ireland are hosting their first National Youth Conference on May 4th 2019 in Dublin (poster attached). The day will involve 2 Keynote speakers (to be announced), 2 workshops and a number of other interactive sessions. The day is built around Leadership, Resilience and the Voices of Young People.

We see this as an opportunity for our young people to gain skills in Public Speaking, Nutrition and Well Being; as well as interacting with their peers in a fun environment and hear from experienced speakers/athletes in these areas. The event has been limited to 100 young people 13+ as we really want to ensure to maximise their experience and learning.

The event is €10.00 and each participant will receive a t-shirt.

Thank you letter regarding our recently held Masters Gala

We received the following correspondence from Adrian O’Connor, who swam in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.

“Thanks for your email, I really enjoyed the gala; it was exactly what I needed – a good variety of tough well run races to get me back in line. I thought the challenge was a brilliant idea and it’s lovely to have received a prize, it’s much appreciated.

Well done on the gala and thanks to all who made it possible,

Adrian”
